I'm off to go to go work 9 hours in customer service in a tiny grocery store (that sees more business than a full sized one) on perhaps the busiest day of the year. I probably won't make it out alive.

I'm doing two jobs at once. Customer service - refunds, lotto, Western union, phone calls, etc. and also front end management. I'm in charge of like twelve people and have to make sure they all get breaks, help them with issues on register, and the like. At any given moment I'm going to have two people needing my attention at the same time.

When I was working in the deli, the other employees were known to disappear for a while. They often disappeared at the same time. I worked that deli by myself, a lot.
